It's official.

Well my parents are officially Mission Presidents. They landed in California yesterday (June 26th) They were set apart on Saturday the 20th and went to the MTC for 5 days. All week long they were taught by The First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Then we got to spend the day with them on Thursday before they flew out and it was great to hear all the stories. Having dinner with Elder Holland, chatting with L. Tom Perry, Elder Scott, talking with Sister Eyring and Sister Oaks in the bathroom line, President Monson as the Sacrament Meeting speaker, etc. The list went on and on. They absolutely loved it and learned amazing things.

We were lucky enough to be there when they got set apart by L. Tom Perry. He is so awesome and just as nice and friendly as you imagine from his conference talks. All in all it has been an amazing last week but a little hard to say bye to the parents.

I knew your parents were going on a mission...I didn't know they HOW they were going to serve! That is so awesome! What a cool experience for you and your family! I love the picture that you posted.
See you soon.

Jam that is so neat. I remember when Elder Oaks spoke at my Grandma's funeral. It was so neat to meet him in person. That wonderful for your parents. That would be way hard to say goodbye. How are you??
